SOUDERTON AREA HIGH SCHOOL: 30
On Wednesday, the team dropped a very winnable SOL Colonial match to Souderton, 29-30. This moves the team to 7-4 (1-1 SOL-Col) and most likely knocks them out of District Duals contention. Whittington, Schmidt & Goetter led the way with pins while Vince Mokos (Fr./114) earned an unexpected 11-0 major decision. Match of the night was at 121lbs as Freshman John Shields who did his job and fought tough the entire 6 minutes to prevent giving up any bonus points to one of their top wrestlers.
Next competition: The team has a quite week of practice until Friday 1/20/23 where the team will compete in a Tri-meet vs Top SOL competitors, Pennridge & Pennsbury. Action starts early at 5pm at Pennsbury HS.
